Our relationship with coffee didn’t begin in a roastery — it began generations ago, on plantation ground in West Java, where our family first learned what a landscape asks of the people who grow, harvest, and honor it. That inheritance still shapes how we source, roast, and serve every bag of coffee we sell today.

Long before Java Original Coffee had a name, our family’s story was already tied to the soil of West Java — to the estates, the seasons, and the people who worked that land across generations. That history taught us patience with a crop that can’t be rushed, respect for the growers who do the real work, and an eye for quality that doesn’t cut corners.
When we founded Java Original Coffee, we were carrying forward a legacy and translating it into something new: a roastery, a wholesale partner, and eventually, a place to teach others what we’ve learned.
Our family’s roots take hold on plantation land in Subang — the beginning of a multi-generational relationship with the region’s soil, seasons, and crops.
We source coffee from Sumatra, Java, New Guinea, Colombia, Ecuador, Burundi, Ethiopia, and beyond — with Indonesia holding a permanent, personal place in that list.
