Description
Caribbean Fiesta is a premium coffee that comes from Costa Rica. It’s a semi-washed coffee. As a result, there is a bit more juicy fruit in the cup of this unique coffee. In Costa Rica freshwater is preserved and the government keeps farmers from using too much water to fully wash their coffee. In a normal fully-washed coffee, coffee is fermented in large tanks to remove the mucilage, however, in Costa Rica, a machine called a demuciladora is used. This machine removes the pulp and mucilage simultaneously.

Net Wt. 12oz (340g)
Description
La Libertad de Cuilco comes from coffee gardens in La Libertad Huehuetenango, one of the key coffee-growing regions in Guatemala where the Arturo Villatoro family has produced coffee for generations. With deep exposure to the full growing process and fueled with enthusiasm, the family is proud to produce high quality beans – the ingredients of your cup today.
The coffee gardens in La Libertad Huehuetenango are covered by mature shade trees – Chalum, Mandarín, and Capulin – to protect the Bourbon, Caturra, and Maragogype plants below. The gardens are self-sufficient with their own wet mill and mechanical dryer operated by the family. Coffee cherries are carefully picked according to quality with pure mountain spring water used for processing the coffees. This allows the workers to remove any inferior, less dense beans from the harvest. The coffee is then fermented for 36 hours, before being washed and prepared for drying. The mechanical dryer allows the family to increase their output, with the first harvest between January and February being dried by the sun on patios, and the late harvest dried using the mechanical dryer.
This is a washed whole bean coffee. Ground options are available.
